2007 - Integrated Product Development
Development of a drying rack module

The report is a combination of science of materials, engineering, marketing management, business economics, product development, production management and English.

Problem Statement
The project was easily singled out by the acknowledgement of a primary need to dry wet
laundry. Along with the reasoning that many people are living on limited space the following questions will be adressed:
‐ How does the group find an alternative solution to the already existing drying rack that integrates drying of laundry and space saving in the home?
‐ How can the needs of the users be realised in a physical, mechanical product?
‐ How can we integrate economic feasibility in the marketing, product development, and
production of a product according to the needed specifications?
